Just a few years ago there was next to
nothing on the web about PSpice. Now
there’s many links with useful info and many more device manufactures providing
part models. Unfortunately, Cadence has
discontinued OrCAD PSpice, Capture, and Layout.
Circuit simulation certainly will not die and so something more advanced
(and maybe more expensive) will eventually take its place. Meanwhile some device manufactures now offer
simulation programs. It looks like
PSpice will be around for quite a while longer.
Linear Technology is a
device manufacture with a good simulator.
I used it a couple of times to determine circuit stability.
